Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 4, 2026
Venum ("we", "us", "our") operates the Venum API and related services at venum.dev. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up for an API key, we collect:
- Email address
- Name (optional)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe or Coinflow — we do not store card numbers or wallet private keys)
Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- API request metadata (endpoint, timestamp, response status, latency)
- IP address
- API key identifier
- Rate limit counters
Blockchain Data
- Wallet public addresses you submit in API requests (e.g., for swap building or transaction submission)
- Transaction signatures returned by our submission endpoints
We do not collect or store private keys, seed phrases, or signing credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service: route API requests, build transactions, submit bundles
- Billing: track usage per API key, process payments via Stripe and Coinflow
- Rate limiting & abuse prevention: enforce tier limits, detect abuse patterns
- Service improvement: aggregate usage analytics (no per-user profiling)
- Support: respond to your inquiries
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- Payment processors: Stripe (card payments) and Coinflow (crypto payments) receive payment details necessary to process your transactions
- Infrastructure providers: our hosting provider (Hetzner) processes network traffic; our RPC providers (Triton, Helius) receive blockchain queries
- Legal compliance: if required by law, subpoena, or court order
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
4. Blockchain Transactions
Transactions you submit through Venum are broadcast to the Solana blockchain, which is public and immutable. We are not responsible for information visible on-chain after submission.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 90 days of account closure
- API logs: retained for 30 days, then aggregated and anonymized
- Payment records: retained as required by tax and financial regulations
6. Security
We protect your data with:
- TLS encryption for all API traffic
- API key authentication (keys are hashed at rest)
- No storage of private keys or signing material
- Infrastructure hosted in SOC 2-compliant data centers
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Update your account information
- Opt out of non-essential communications
Contact us at privacy@venum.dev to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
Our documentation site may use minimal analytics cookies. The API itself does not use cookies.
9. Children
Venum is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
